TRAINING: 10 mi/93 min as seen on Instagram

My first extended run gearing up for the race in Oct. - 10 miles in 93 min with Chia Seed and Almonds fueling the way!

Not too bad...a 9min mile will be extremely tough to keep up for 32 trail miles, but why not set my goals high

This photo had like 6 likes on Instagram - basically went viral....

INSPIRATION: Anton Krupicka & Kilian Jornet Sick Teton Run

No food. No water. These guys are definitely at another level. Makes me ashamed of my computer screen tan. Definitely watch in full screen mode until I figure out how post larger videos.

Music by Animal Collective. Great running album.

I like to run with a water bottle, some chia seed, and some small all natural snack to eat along the way. Not there yet....

CHALLENGE:Bimbler's Bluff 50k Oct 21st

It's official! I'm signed up for the Bimbler's Bluff 50k in October. I will be doing this race by myself. Part of my goal is to adhere to a nutrient rich whole foods diet as I train. I will be following advice from several different sports nutrition food books and I invite you to follow along with me as I learn what is the healthiest approach to running this race. My goal is to run the 50k/32 mi trail run in under 7 hours. That should put me in the top half of finishers. Considering I've never even run a marathon before, that should be pretty good.
